Scott Northern Wake Campus Placement Testing

You MUST submit an application for admission prior to registering for a placement test. If you graduated from a US high school, you must provide Admissions with your high school transcript prior to testing. Please note this placement test is only for curriculum seeking students. 

Notice to CCP Applicants:
All applicants are required to submit a completed application and obtain formal authorization from CCP staff prior to registering for any testing. Applicants should not register for testing unless expressly directed to do so by CCP staff.

✅ Testing Reminders

To help your testing experience go smoothly, please keep the following in mind:

• Leave personal calculators at home. All necessary tools will be provided during the test.

• Bring a valid photo ID. Identification is required for check-in.

• Plan for 1 to 3 hours. While most tests take between one and three hours, you’ll have up to four hours to complete your test.

• Need more time? No problem. If you don’t finish within the allotted time, you’re welcome to return on another day to complete it.

Attention Non-Native English Speakers: We offer the ACCUPLACER ESL test for students learning English as a foreign language (EFL). Please note:

• You will only complete the ESL Reading Skills and ESL Language Use sections.
• The Math test will not be administered on the same day as your ESL test.
• EFL Advising Locations: Advising for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students is available Monday-Thursday only at the following campuses:
